Según publicaba ayer La Voz de Lanzarote, el Ayuntamiento se gastó casi 18.000 euros en una campaña de recogida de alimentos que al final obtuvo 3.500 kilos, gran parte de los cuales desaparecieron sin dejar rastro.

Pero si que haya desaparecido la comida les parece grave, ahora hagan el cálculo: 18.000 euros, dividos entre 3.500 kilos. ¡Sale a más de 5 euros el kilo! ¿Qué clase de comida vale 5 euros el kilo? Salvo la carne y algunas de esas frutas extrañas, nada cuesta tan caro. Y en este caso se trataba de recoger alimentos en conserva y en paquetes, es decir: arroz, pasta, legumbres… Vamos, que a buen seguro con esos 18.000 euros, comprando al por mayor, se hubiera podido adquirir el triple de alimento. Y los mismos mayoristas se hubieran encargado de transportarlo a las parroquias y lugares señalados.

Pero no, en esta isla todo se tiene que hacer de aquella manera. Se paga a una empresita de impresiones gráficas del colega para dípticos y demás, se paga a la radio de rigor para la cuña, se paga al transportista, se paga al coordinador…, así funcionan las cosas. Si unos cuantos no sacan jugosos beneficios, aquí no se mueve una piedra, tal cual. Pero es que al final, para mayor cachondeo, ¡la comida desaparece! O sea, que no sólo hacen negocio y se reparten el pastel, sino que al final la comida ni siquiera llega a donde tenía que llegar. Que en esta isla todavía no hayan colgado a ningún político de un campanario es un milagro.
